Now that my baby is 4 months old, I thought I would compile a list of products and items that I found to be very useful in our everyday lives! Some of these are things that I was able to use immediately after she was born and some of them required her to be a little older to use.
- Kane Miller Publishing Books: These high-contrast tummy time books are great for visual stimulation and development. The books fold out so you can lay it on the floor next to them while they learn!
- Wubbanub Pacifiers: Great for newborns less than 6 months of age, this soother pacifier is her go-to right before she takes a nap. It really helps to relax her and comfort her as I lay her down to sleep. Plus, they’re washable and free of BPA or latex. They come in a ton of fun animal characters and its cute to see them grasp onto them once they get a little older.
- Binxy Baby Shopping Cart Hammock: This is a great product that I just started using with my 4 month old! It straps onto your standard sized grocery cart and safely harnesses your infant giving you more room in your cart to shop, instead of having the car seat take up almost all of the shopping room. You can also strap the carseat onto it as well if you didn’t want to take the baby out of it.
- Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit: I started using this sleepsuit once Emmy was old enough to be out of a swaddle. The suit allows your little one to be comfy in cozy while they sleep, without their arm reflex startling them, waking them up. I LOVE this product! Emmy takes naps anywhere from 1-3 hours a day in it! It is best to use this in the transitional phase between swaddling and when they can roll over on their own.
- Milestone Baby Cards: These are adorable cards that you can use to photograph your little one during all of their important milestones during their first year of life!
- Moby Wrap: As far as infant carriers go, this is the one that I use the most in the house. It is super lightweight and comfortable to wear all of the time. It is easy to wear once you figure out what kind of hold you want to carry your baby in. What’s great about this is that you can use it from birth through toddler phase. I love being able to do housework and even lay down with her in it.
- DockATot: This is a portable bed, lounger, tummy time product and changing table that has been just wonderful to have! Since we have been putting Emmy in it, she sleeps through the night. It is cozy and helps prevent the startle reflex. She doesn’t need to be swaddled anymore and still sleeps about 8 hours straight in it.
- Finn + Emma (pictured below): We love limiting our kids exposure to harmful chemicals so when we find organic clothing, we love to support the company! This is a great brand that believes in safe and sustainable products for their customers. They have a wonderful line of clothing and toys for your little ones that are organic and fair trade. Their prints and colors are amazing! We love this hipster pattern and lovey toy for Emmy.
