What are the benefits of organic bedding versus regular bedding? What is it mean to be organic? I can honestly tell you that I didn’t know much about organic mattresses or bedding until now.
Organic materials are completely free of pesticides and chemicals, which are usually allergenic substances and have been linked to increase risk of SIDS. This is super important to me as I have two children that live in a world that is full of pollutants and harsh chemicals. I never thought about what materials your bed mattress and bedding was made of. Now that I have researched it, I am amazed at just how many chemicals are used to make the very thing that we spend so much time sleeping on. I was approached by Greenbuds to try out their crib bedding for our baby and I am so impressed by what they do as a company and how they ensure that their products are organic and free of impurities. Plus, their products are engineered and produced in the U.S.A
The packaging of the bedding was beautiful and comes wrapped in all recyclable materials. In fact, the bedding itself it totally biodegradable! The crib sheet and pillow case are 100% cotton and incredibly soft. The comforter is made from 100% cotton and pure wool fill. Wool is inherently moisture wicking and has temperature regulating properties, which I will appreciate once she’s ready to start using a blanket.
I’m loving all of the benefits of this bedding:
- GOTS Certified Organic Cotton
- Toxin and Allergen Free
- Screen Printed for Minimal Environmental Impact
- Machine Washable
This bedding will look adorable once we start using it in a toddler bed and the pillow case is perfect size for a toddler pillow!
If you’re interested in checking out more of their bedding (they have a ton of adorable prints to choose from in neutral, boy and girl patterns), pillows or mattresses, please visit them HERE !
Did you see any that catch your eye?
