The first thing I did when I woke up on Saturday was look at the weather app on my phone to make sure no rain was in the forecast. Luckily, it was going to be a clear day, just cool and slightly windy. My neighbors were kind enough to help throw me a baby sprinkle for baby boy!
We were so excited to be having a boy, that it gave us a reason to throw a party. Many of our friends and family joined us for a nice lunch and dessert at my house, followed by tons of gifts to spoil the new addition!
With no boy clothes in our closets at all, we can proudly say that this little guy will be the dressed to the nines all year round with all of the adorable outfits that the guests brought over! He also got tons of diapers, a new diaper genie, toys and blankets!
Once the guests arrived, we started eating lunch, which we gathered all of the ingredients for earlier in the week. We had 3 kinds of sandwiches, veggie and dip cups, a fruit bowl, chips, punch and of course- the cake!
I just about wanted to dive into the punch bowl because the drink was so addicting! The combination of Hawaiian punch, pineapple juice, 7up and pineapple sherbet was soooo good! I really wanted our cake to be from Nothing Bundt Cakes, and it didn’t fail to be the hit of the party.
Since this will be our last child, I’m so glad that we celebrated with a party. I am so thankful for everyone who came and sent gifts. We couldn’t be luckier to have such an amazing support team, and people who care about our family.
We left the guests with bags of my favorite popcorn (Chicago mix, of course), to take home with them….as I am totally “ready to pop”! I was secretly glad that there were leftovers! More for me to enjoy as a snack later!
I asked Cory to take a pic of me at the party. God bless him for his photography skills, seeing as I am blurry in the photo….LOL. I am just about 34 weeks pregnant and looking every bit of it. I have a feeling that lil’ man will come early. (I’ll even take 1 week early! All of my kids were 40 weekers!)
We just have a little over a month before we meet our precious baby boy! The nursery is ready and I will have just enough time to get ALL of these baby sprinkle gifts put away and a diaper bag prepared. Now I can say that we really do have all of the essentials for baby #3!
