Celebrating Baby’s First Birthday (with Shindigz Party Supplies)

*I received product in exchange for an honest review. As always, all opinions are strictly my own

I can not believe that my baby just turned one a few days ago! I still  remember going in to the hospital to have her like it was yesterday! As her party approached, I knew that we would be celebrating baby’s first birthday with Shindigz party supplies!

When I was deciding what to do for a theme, I didn’t want to go with a typical one for her very first party, so we chose the Very Hungry Caterpillar Theme , since we are such big fans of the book! We ordered the supplies all online and it was so easy. We personalized plates, cups, banners and goodie bags with her name for an added touch!

I loved how easy to assemble the goodie boxes were! These were my favorite of the birthday supply items! They held up so well and are so sturdy! We gave every kid a squishy worm, some playdoh and a rainbow lollipop!

For the menu, we chose to do a crock pot pulled pork that we found on Pinterest! We had it go for about 12 hours…it was fabulous! We made coleslaw and had potato chips and a fruit platter. I made all the cake and cupcakes from scratch as well as the frosting. I tried to make the caterpillar as best as I could. I think it turned out pretty cute.

The personalized banners that they can create for your little one were super cute! We chose one that we could add her photos to. We strung it above the fireplace on the mantle where everyone would see it when they walked in. We also had a banner that we personalized with the Very Hungry Caterpillar with just her name on it.

Emmy was none too thrilled about her birthday cake, it was still cute to get a few pictures of her with it, if only for a second before she discovered that she didn’t really like sweets. Big sister on the other hand, was totally willing to help her out with it.

We were very much pleased with how the party turned out. We didn’t throw Charli a big first birthday party, so we had so much fun choosing all of the decorations and getting ready for Emmy’s big day. I highly recommend Shindigz for your party supply needs! They have a TON of themes to choose from and all of the items you would need to make it a success! It was so easy to order the products from them and the items shipped out super fast!

How did you celebrate your baby’s first birthday party? 🙂
