Fall Fashion On A Budget

It’s November now and the weather is definitely showing it. That means it’s time for fall fashion! I will be the first to say that I am not that fashion savvy or have the best fashion style. But when I walk into clothing stores now, it seems like the selections have  gotten so much more vast and creative for the fall and winter months. No more frumpy sweaters, jackets and snow boots. It’s all about the shawls, scarves, knee high boots and booties.

I am totally digging the women’s section at Target . Seeing as I’m there at least once or twice a week, I try to peek in to see what’s new. They have really upped their fashion sense: it’s eye appealing and appropriate for the season. Look at this blanket scarf that I nabbed for only $7.00 (everyday price) and these tall boots for only $27.99 (after using a cartwheel deal for 20% off of boots!)

Fall

I’m on a budget since I’m a stay-at-home mom, so I always try to see if I can get an extra discount with their Cartwheel app before I even walk in the store. (Please tell me you have the Cartwheel app?? If you don’t, you need to! You can save anywhere from 5-25% off of your total, just by making sure you add the items you’re buying to your app!) And if you are a RedCard member, you get an EXTRA 5% your total bill at the end. I just got my card and I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner.

When you think of fall, you definitely think of tights and sweaters, right? Check out these tights I got at Forever 21 for like $8.00. The booties are from there as well (which I got in black and tan) for $19.99! This look is perfect for a warmer fall day!

The last fall look that I love is dressed up casual. I combined a casual sweater top in a great green color from The Banana Republic Outlet Store with a wool skirt from the J. Crew Outlet Store. I added some light stockings/tights and my own favorite scarf to make this look comfortable yet stylish at the same time. The sweater was $15 and the skirt was $40. The boots were from Target for around $20.

Remember to always go shopping on days when you have “extra” percentages off of clothes, it will really save you money in the long run. I’m way more conscious of how I spend my money now that I’m no longer working. It is possible to look great while on a budget. You just have to get the deals at the right time!

Fall fashion is my favorite! What are some of your favorite fall pieces to wear?
