Thank you to Rad Swim for providing a swimsuit to me. As always all options are my own. This post uses affiliate links. See my disclosure for more information.
We have been going to a ton of swimming pools, splash pads, and beaches since summer officially started, and the kids are in heaven. To accommodate my pregnancy, I was wearing a cover up to hide my ever growing lower half, and I wasn’t happy with having to do that! (Cue the one piece swimsuit!)
I started out wearing my old bikinis, but the bottoms just got too small, and I ended up wearing a swim skirt. It was not that attractive, and I sort of felt self conscious wearing it. As much as I dislike like wearing one-pieces, they have totally grown on me! I have found a ton of cute styles lately, and I’m like: “hey mama! Just wear the suit!”
How cute is this mommy and me matching set? Emmy and I love pineapples, so this one was perfect for us! Plus, it has ruching around the belly, to accommodate my growing bump.
The great thing about the one piece is that your belly is covered! A one piece swimsuit is flattering on most all body types, and they come in all sorts of prints and cuts now! Long gone are the traditional “mom” bathing suits. Today’s suits are catered to all shapes and sizes, and are actually affordable.
One of my favorites that I have found was this adorable Ruffle One-Shoulder Piece! Although I got it on sale a couple of weeks ago, I can’t find the exact print online anymore, so I linked the similar ones to it. It’s super flattering and the print on me takes away from other areas of my body that I don’t want the focus on.
I am noticing how my lower half is gaining weight, and I’m really self conscious about it. I have cellulite showing now, and my thighs have definitely branched out (oh man, the joys of pregnancy!) I am trying to embrace it, so that I don’t reflect any negative self appearance upon my kids.
If you haven’t heard of Rad Swim, you’ve got to check out all of their super fashionable suits! I am totally crushing on this Zoe Gold-Striped Black One Piece! It is definitely my favorite swimsuit for this summer. I love the accent of the gold stripes, and how flattering the suit looks on me!
You know I love a good matching outfit, so here’s another one that I found that is super cute and in black, which is slimming, right? The only problem I have with the off the shoulder would be to watch out for the sides, as you don’t want to accidentally expose too much!
The suit ties up at the top, which drapes a bow down both sides of your shoulder, which I thought was so pretty. The cups are lined and it very comfortable on!
Now here are the adorable pics of the girls in their swimsuits! As you can see, they look comfortable on, and they totally get complimented on them! So, get out there with your mini and rock a matching suit!!
