Host A Cookie Exchange Party

Thank you to my friends from Oriental Trading Company, I was able to put together a really fun cookie exchange party over the weekend for some friends. The theme was woodsy and buffalo plaid!

If you’ve never shopped at Oriental Trading Company, you have to check them out! It is literally party central! I got banners, all of the plates and cutlery, party decorations, props and activities for the kids. It is my go-to site for all holiday decor.

If you have never hosted a cookie exchange party, I highly recommend it! Not only does it encourage you to get into the kitchen to bake some fun treats, but in return, you get to try everyone else favorite holiday cookies!

As the hostess, I felt that I should serve a nice assortment of cookies, so I went with homemade sugar cookies with peppermint crunch chips, my grandma’s famous spicy gingersnap cookies, Andes mint chocolate chip cookies, and a variety of white and chocolate dipped pretzels!

Along with the cookie exchange, we also had some fun crafts for the kids which included a sticker placement for Santa’s cookies, and a personalized elf picture frame to put your child’s pic in!

And don’t forget to let the adults get in on the fun! We had an assortment of photo booth props that could let you be a bearded woodsman, or one of the North Pole staff!

We supplied lunch at the party, and there were plenty of things to snack on from appetizers that guests also brought. Needless to say, leaving a cookie exchange party, you should not go home hungry!

Do yourself a favor and host a cookie exchange party! Aren’t the holidays all about spending time with friends and family, and eating, drinking and being merry?

Tell me: what’s your favorite cookie! Have you been to a cookie exchange party before?
