With the Big Game approaching, have you started thinking about what you’re going to have at your “home gate” party? A great party should include a few key appetizers, a main dish, a dessert and your favorite beverages!
Some of my favorite appetizers are ones that are flavorful and easy to please everyone. I know a lot of of us are really busy, so it’s great when you get to buy ones that are prepared for you! I got these two tasty ones (Taco Dip and Buffalo Chicken Dip) at Jewel-Osco!
What did I make for the main dish? A crock pot pulled pork, of course! My favorite crock pot dish takes only 6 hours from start to finish, and is always a hit. Can you guess my secret ingredient?
I keep Coca-Cola on hand always, as it’s a crowd favorite for any game day! (Who knew it also makes a great tenderizer for a crock pot pulled pork?) It’s a good idea to have a little variety in your soda selection. I try to offer a regular Coca-Cola, a Coke Zero Sugar, and Sprite on my party table.
To enhance my Game Day table, I bought some football inspired paper plates and napkins. These add a pop of color and make the kitchen or dining area as fun as the TV room! You can put up fun decorations not only to make the food look more appealing, but keep your guests in the Game Day mood!!
How do you plan to watch the Big Game? Are you a fan of all of the appetizers, or do you go all out with a main dish? Don’t forget to grab plenty of cups, plates and table decorations for your perfect home gate party!
I’m so happy that I plan ahead of time. By knowing exactly what I’m going to serve, and having all of my decorations ready, it will save me so much time and allow me to enjoy the game with my guests, instead of stressing and buying stuff last minute!
Make sure you stock up on a variety of Coca-Cola products in advance and head over to your local Jewel-Osco store to pick up some great store brand deli items! You can find them in the deli case, ready to pick up anytime before the game!
omg such a great idea! I love this! We are throwing one
