Our Gender Reveal You Don’t Want To Miss!

Thanks to modern technology, we are incredibly lucky to be able to do gender DNA tests in the comfort of our home starting from 9 weeks into your pregnancy. I was fortunate to work with the amazing people at SneakPeek to see just what baby #3 was going to be! Here is a glimpse into our gender reveal and how we were able to get the results so fast!

I had heard about SneakPeek from a fellow blogger, and I was so intrigued by it, I knew that when we got pregnant, I wanted to find out the gender as soon as we could. Since we already have 2 girls, we wanted to know if we were going to be saving all of the clothes, or making room for a little blue in the house.

So, what is this test? It is the only 99% accurate at-home gender DNA test. SneakPeek’s Advanced Technology enables the isolation and analysis of fetal DNA in maternal capillary blood for highly accurate baby gender prediction. The test is sent to you with everything inside for you to successfully complete it on your own, without the help of anyone.

I’ll spare you all of the details of the test, but it only took me about 5 minutes to do from start to finish. I won’t lie, I was little intimidated at first, but once I read over the directions twice, I felt like I could handle it by myself.  With just a few drops of my blood into their collection tube, the package was ready to be sealed up and dropped off at the post office.

This is the best part- within 24 hours, I received notice (via email) that the collection lab had my sample and that it looked great for testing (PHEW!). I was to check my inbox within 8 hours for the results. Did they say within 8 hours??!! I was not expecting to hear back from them for a day or two!

Once I got the email from them, I immediately ran over to my husband so that we could read the gender reveal results together:

Needless to say, we are over the moon!! Not only has it been my dream to have a larger family, but to add a boy to the mix makes my heart so full and complete. We are confident in the results of this test and look forward to all of the wonderful things our future holds with a little boy in the mix!

Have you heard of this gender reveal test before? How long did you wait to find out the gender of your little one(s)? With Charli, we waited until she was born to find out. With Emmy, we found out around 12 weeks, through the hospital’s complete early genetic testing.

Now- spam me with your favorite shops to buy boy clothing from! We’re clueless!! LOL!

Yay! I’m so happy for you, Kim!! It’s amazing to experience raising both genders, and I will tell you that little boys LOVE their mamas!!
Btw, saw your post on Emmy becoming the middle child…I am a middle (between 2 brothers tho, so slightly different dynamic). I’ve always adored my baby brother and looked out for him and I’m sure both your girls will too!
    Happy Mother’s Day!
