I am all over fall beverages if they include apple cider or pumpkin. I love the taste of apple cider as it tastes so different than just regular apple juice. With the weather cooling down, it was time to make some adult beverages to warm us up, yet keep us in the “fall feel”. Cue the Apple Cider Moscow Mule!
Hi friends and family! It’s been way too long since I wrote down in words everything that has been going on in life. From the start of COVID, to our lackluster summer, we’ve basically been doing a lot of playing at home, and entertaining the kids around the neighborhood.
With the girls back in school now (I’ll do a separate post on how that’s all going), we now have things to do, and are trying to maintain some normalcy again. We couldn’t let the start of fall go by without a trip to our favorite place to take the kids: Jerry Smith’s Farm in Somers, WI.
I know, it’s been a long time since I checked in here. Don’t worry- we are all doing alright. I thought that I would give you a recap of what we have been doing all day, how we are staying busy, and the worries and concerns we have experienced one month into quarantine.
Brilliance: The Orchid Show at the Chicago Botanic Garden, is a spectacular array of 10,000 brilliant blooms that runs from February 8- March 22, 2020 daily from 10:00am-4:00pm.
Thanks to my friends at the Botanic Garden, I got to see all of these beautiful orchids today with the kids. We usually do not visit the Garden at this time of year, but I knew that this show would be worth it!
