Our cats are 9 years old now, so it is super important that we give them high quality foods to support their well being. We believe that our pet food has a lot to do with their health, their coats and their energy levels. And since they are indoor cats, we want to make sure that they are keeping them healthy, happy, AND active.
We were excited to try the 28-day challenge from Purina ONE®, because we learned how the Indoor Advantage Adult Premium Dry Cat Food is formulated with high quality real meat, poultry or fish – to help support strong muscles and a healthy heart. While indoor cats have different feeding requirements than outdoor cats- and this Purina ONE® formula provides balanced nutrition that is just right.
When every ingredient has a purpose in your pet’s food, you know that you have a product that you can count on and that it will contribute to their lifelong potential. I was really drawn to how the products in the Purina ONE® line are targeted formulas to meet your pet’s special needs- with ours being indoor, adult cats.
The Purina ONE® 28-Day Challenge:
From day one, my cats were already excited to see the food in their bowl. With real meat as the #1 ingredient in the Purina ONE® formula, each feeding was just as anticipated as the next.
By the end of the first week, I could see that my cats were playful and their coats looked great. I like that the unique blend of vitamins and minerals help to support their immune systems. By the end of the 28-day challenge, my cats still craved the food and their eyes and skin looked great!

A bonus when shopping for my pet’s food, is that it is accessible to me. I do not want to go to multiple retail stores to find my everyday pet items. Luckily, one of my favorite stores carries just the formula that I was looking for.
When I go into Target, the first thing I do is open up my Cartwheel app on my phone. If I can get a good deal already, plus an added coupon for the items I’m shopping for anyway, it’s a win-win!
I love buying my pet’s food at Target because they keep their shelves stocked, the cat food aisle is organized and clean, and I get additional savings by using my Red Card at checkout.
Keeping Your Pet Active:
My cats are older now, so we have definitely have to make them play to keep them moving and active. My kids love to have them chase ribbon all over the house. It’s a great way for them to all bond with each other. The cats have become more social with the kids, and this is an overall win for both humans and animals!
The cats do not really play amongst themselves, so we find ways to keep them independently entertained, with random toys or empty boxes to play in.
Keeping their personal areas clean:
If you have more than one cat in the house, you should have two litter boxes in the house. We make sure they are cleaned daily, and that the litter is replaced weekly. Their food bowls and water are topped off twice a day and cleaned regularly. We also make sure to sweep the floors thoroughly around their bedding and food areas to keep them clean and happy!
