Review Of Ergobaby Omni 360 Baby Carrier

Are you excited to see the newest Ergobaby product on the market?! This new baby carrier is called the Omni 360. If the beloved “Ergobaby 360” and the “Adapt” came together, this would be its child!

We have all seen the amazing Ergobaby 360 that came out a couple of years ago. I have one and it was the best baby product investment we ever made. It has the four-position wearability and can be worn forward facing, inwards, on the hip and on the back. The new Omni 360 has all of the same functionality, it just does not require a separate baby insert, like the Ergobaby 360 does.

Starting at just 7 pounds, you can carry your baby in the Omni 360 without the use of an infant insert. How great is that? One less piece to have to fumble around with, or adjust in your carrier while the baby is in there, securely. It will hold your child up until they weigh 33 pounds.

There is a really neat feature with this carrier. It has adjustable velcro seat tabs to adjust for your baby’s height. And all of the clasps are very secure and easy to remove with one hand; for those times when you are by yourself and need to take the baby out of the carrier on your own.

Some of the other great features that I love about this carrier are the adjustable soft pad in the front of the carrier (which is a great cushion for the baby’s head when they are sleeping against you), the rain/shade hood that is tucked away inside this padding (it is connected inside, so you just roll it out whenever you want to cover the baby’s head), and the mini pack in the front to put your phone or keys into!

I was able to get Emmy into this new carrier without a hitch, right out of the box. She is about 23 pounds right now, so I can carry her up to another 10 pounds. I tried wearing her inward and also on the side. Both were very comfortable, as I suspected. The strong and sturdy, padded straps really seal the deal for me with the Ergobaby brand.

The side lock buckles on the Omni 360 have a double lock on them, which is different from the Ergobaby 360. This is a great added security feature on this carrier. It is very easy to remove the buckle, even with one hand, contrary to how it appears. Plus, I think this carrier is easier to tighten and loosen than the original Ergobaby 360.

If you are going to have your baby face outward, please make sure that they have a good grasp on their head and neck control. The baby’s chin should fully clear over the top of the carrier. Please take the time to read the directions for the carrier to ensure the proper seating methods are followed and that the baby is in the best seated position.

Overall, my thoughts on this carrier are that it is comparable to the Ergobaby 360. Some of the differences are that the Ergobaby Omni 360 has added pouch at the bottom to carry around your necessities, it doesn’t require the infant insert to carry your baby around in, and it has that great buckle system for added security.  Both are super comfortable and really put your baby/child in the correct ergonomic position for carrying around.

Check out the NEW Ergobaby Omni 360 Baby Carrier and tell me what you think about it! Presale starts on August 24th and the carrier will officially launch on September 7th.
